Why Study International GCSE Business Studies?
International GCSE Business Studies helps you to develop understanding of business activity in the public and private sectors, and the importance of innovation and change. You will find out how the major types of business organisation are established, financed and run, and how their activities are regulated. Factors influencing business decision-making are also considered, as are the essential values of cooperation and interdependence. You will not only study business concepts and techniques but also enhance related skills such as numeracy and enquiry.

International GCSE Business Studies requires about 130 hours of study. The number of hours needed may vary depending on your previous experience of the subject.
We do not expect learners starting this course to have previously studied Business Studies.

Why Study International AS & A Level Business?
The International AS & A Level Business course enables you to understand and appreciate the nature and scope of business, and the role it plays in society. It encourages you to examine the process of decision-making in a dynamic and changing business environment and to develop critical understanding of business organisations.
You will learn about business and its environment, human resource management, marketing, operations management and finance and accounting. At International A Level, you will also learn how to develop a business strategy (Cambridge Assessment International Education, n.d.)

Prior requirements and hours of study
International AS Level Business requires about 180 hours of study, and International A Level Business requires about 360 hours of study. These figures are for guidance only. The number of hours needed may vary depending on your previous experience of the subject.
We recommend that students who are beginning this course should have previously completed an International GCSE course in Business.
It is also necessary that all A-Level students have IGCSE English Language or the equivalent at Grade C/4 or above.
